| St. Magdalena was first mentioned in 1273. In 1480 the church was rebuilt from scratch by SchneebergerGewerke and inaugurated in 1482. Masterpieces of the late gothic Knappenkirche church include the splendid wing altar by Matheis Stöberl dating back to 1519, and also the ancient high altar with a portrait of Saint Madeleine, which has been preserved. | ![]() |

Experts say this is one of the most beautiful baroque country churches in Tyrol. Involved in the artistic design were mainly Johann Perger from Stilfs/Stelvio and Josef Haller from Passeier/Passiria. The church was inaugurated in 1768. | |

The St. Laurent Chapel in Maiern/Masseria is located on a rock hill with glacier joints. From here you enjoy a fantastic round view of the scattered harbours of Ridnaun/Ridanna. The chapel was first mentioned in 1390. Today's appearance results from a reconstruction in 1482. | |

A spectacular natural monument at the head of the valley in Ridnaun/Ridanna. The gorge was named after the former Minister Burkhard and can be reached from the museum areal in Maiern/Masseria. Along the panoramic path you'll find several viewpoints from where you can admire the imposing mountain world of the Stubai Alps. You'll also cross bridges from where you can experience the natural power of water from very close up. At the entrance to the Ratschings/Racines Valley. The only gorge worldwide, which is deeply cut into purely white marble. Point of departure: Stange/Stanghe. Difference in altitude: 175 m Walking time: approx. 1 h upwards; approx. 30-45 min. downwards Opening times: from the beginning of May to the beginning of November every day from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (July and August from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.) Entrance fee: adults € 3, children € 1, groups from 20 ppl. € 2.50
